Casual Land and Marine Deck Crew
We have a great opportunity and are on the lookout for skilled and motivated individuals to join our casual marine and land deck crew team at Port Taranaki.
About you
We are committed to safety and excellence and are seeking a skilled and experienced casual to assist our marine and land teams. The Casual Marine and Land Crew Member role responsibilities include:
- Assist with harbour tug operations.
- Assist with pilot launch transfers.
- Provide relief work to cover gaps within the marine team.
- Assist with out of port marine services operations.
- Assist operations across the port team, including vessel mooring and port security.
About you
You will have experience in the maritime industry and enjoy variety in your day-to-day work. In setting you up for success you ideally also have one or more of the following:
- Qualified Deckhand Certificate (QDC)
- Maritime Restricted Radio Operators Certificate (MRROC)
- Comprehensive First Aid Certificate
- MEC2 or MEC1
- Maritime New Zealand Medical.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Are a dynamic self-starter with a growth mindset.
- Confident to work within a range of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
