The opportunity
We are seeking a flexible, motivated and dynamic person who would provide cover for our team - ensuring the safe, smooth and effective delivery of operational port services and activities.
Being a primary cover position, the hours are approximately 20 per week (part time, 0.5 full time equivalent). Our General Port Operator supports our operations by monitoring and maintaining a secure site, managing entry and exit of port users, mooring and ship services - all while delivering excellent customer service.

About you
You will bring previous experience in customer service, with strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent support. As this role supports our landside operations, it can be physically demanding and requires you to be fit, healthy, and comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Part-time General Purpose Operator shifts may be scheduled to cover short term daily cover, or across a six on/six off roster. This ensures we continue round-the-clock coverage—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In setting yourself up for success, you ideally also have:
